Partook in specifying and overseeing the development of a new logging system to empower the team through greater data accuracy, faster access, and improved monitoring abilities.
Software Engineer

Provided research and software development support for projects hosted by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academy of Sciences. Designed software to conduct safety, operational, and economic analyses of railroad and highway networks nationwide. Made significant contributions to the development of the country’s leading rail safety assessment software, GTMS, used by FRA and Class I railroads.
Financial Analyst Intern
Baltimore, MD
Evaluated the profitability of Constellation Energy’s sales by modeling the consumption and output of their coal plants. Created optimization models that predicted gas allocation among units of a power plant, improving cost estimation by 5%. Analyzed energy commodities data and applied technical analyses to raise over $50,000 trading natural gas futures

Performed field site research in Southern China on migrant workers and the labor NGOs that support them, then developed an Android app for NGOs to better collect and analyze data about the injured workers who call into their offices for help.

Developed a new website and provided other technical support for the top social enterprise advocacy group in Vietnam.

Washington, DC
Designed web and Android applications for volunteer organizations to record and share locations of homeless individuals. Collaborated with Seattle’s largest homeless relief organization to facilitate the delivery of aid to over 1,000 individuals.
